Alison Harvey, SecretaryAlison Harvey, Board Secretary - Alison Harvey, Board Secretary, is the Director of Governmental Affairs for the United Auburn Indian Community, a federally recognized California tribe comprised of Maidu and Miwok Indians based in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Auburn. more here
John Regan, TreasurerJohn Regan, Board Treasurer - John Regan, Board Treasurer, is a founding member of the Sierra Fund’s Board of Directors. John is president of Smart Campaigns, Inc., a national political consulting firm specializing in due diligence, strategic research, issues analysis and media relations. more here
Batty Brissenden, Emeritus ChairPatty Brissenden, Emeritus Board Chair - Patty Brissenden, Emeritus Board Chair, lives in the incredibly beautiful Hope Valley, home to Sorensen’s Resort, which she has co-owned with her husband John for 20 years. Patty is credited with having landed a $25 million grant for Hope Valley watershed management. more here
Adrienne AlvordAdrienne Alvord, Board Member - Adrienne Alvord is the Union of Concerned Scientists’ California and Western States Director, based in Berkeley, California. Ms. Alvord is leading UCS’s effort to ensure robust implementation of the California Global Warming Solutions Act, California’s landmark climate law known as “AB 32.” more here

Elizabeth MartinElizabeth "Izzy" Martin, CEO is a community organizer and environmental advocate with nearly thirty years of experience working in rural communities to promote economic and environmental justice. She has worked with a wide diversity of constituencies, from farm workers to small farmers and rural environmentalists. more here
Carrie MonohanCarrie Monohan, Ph.D., Science Director, earned her Ph.D. in Forest Engineering and Hydrology in 2004 from the University of Washington, Seattle. Her dissertation work addressed the relationship between water quality in agricultural streams and diminishing salmon habitat. Throughout her graduate program, she was a research assistant to the Northwest Fisheries Science Center more here
Judy ParksJudy Parks, Finance Manager, has 25 years of progressive management and financial experience in the nonprofit sector including CFO of a private elementary school, and Director of Fiscal Operations of a private college. Judy relocated to Penn Valley to enjoy the beauty and pace of the Sierra Foothills, and is excited to continue to share her talents and skills with The Sierra Fund in order to educate and better our region. more here
Beth BordnerBeth Bordner, Operations Manager, moved to Nevada County in 2014 from the Seattle area where she spent 20 years living on a small, ferry-only accessed island surrounded by the natural beauty of Puget Sound and the majesty of Mount Rainier. Her experience in non-profit environmental conservation comes from nearly a decade as the Operations Manager for the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust. more here
Amber TaxieraAmber Taxiera, Operations & Finance Coordinator, grew up in Davis, CA and fell in love with the Sierra through snowboarding, rock climbing, and white water rafting. Her adventurist spirit led her to travel for multiple years throughout Asia in discovery of new rocks to climb and rapids to raft. Amber considers herself an ”Eco-Adventurist” and believes that adventure outings are a way for people to connect with nature and gain a better understanding of natural systems. more here
Alex Keeble-TollAlex Keeble-Toll, Program Manager, was born and raised in Nevada City and joined The Sierra Fund’s staff in January 2015. Alex has a BA in sociology, magna cum laude, from UCLA and an MA in Sociology from CSU, Sacramento. For her MA work she focused on environmental inequality and hazard formation, and for her 2006 thesis she did historical analysis of three local gold mines as case-study examples of environmental hazards.... more here
Jenny MichaelJenny Michael, Administrative Assistant, has over 27 years of administrative management experience including Enrollment and Student Support Manager for a private college in Nevada City, CA. At the center of Jenny’s passion is music. Shortly after moving to Nevada City, she discovered community radio KVMR, took the broadcaster training class and has hosted her own radio program for over 20 years.... more here
Kelsey WestfallKelsey Westfall, Outreach Coordinator and Policy Assistant, was raised in the beautiful Sierra Foothills by parents with an affinity for nature and exploration. Kelsey graduated from San Francisco State University in May, 2014 and was presented the Environmental Studies Departmental Honoree Award, delivering a speech a graduation. more here
