Our Philosophy is straightforward. The Sierra Fund

• Works to develop new sources of individual, foundation and corporate funding to confront and address the region’s conservation challenges
• Leverages private financial resources to inspire larger, long-term public conservation investments in the resources of the Sierra Nevada
• Expands the capacity of existing community-based conservation organizations already hard at work protecting the Sierra Nevada
• Supports a full toolbox of conservation strategies - from community organizing, collaboration and education to litigation, advocacy and legislation.
